Each Friday, FindBet will preview the week's DFS slate, highlighting players that are priced well on DFS sites, as well as some contrarian plays that can push your team to the top of the leader board.
Most NFL DFS games have you putting a team together with players from a certain slate of games. It could be just Sunday 1:00 PM games, or it could be every game that is slated for the week. Once the last game that has eligible players is over, the final payouts are made according to how many fantasy points each team scored. Each player is worth a certain dollar amount, and you have a cap of $60,000 to build your team with. You have to have 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (RB, WR, or TE) and 1 DEF.
The general scoring rules include (6) points for each rushing and receiving touchdown, (4) points for each passing touchdown, (0.1) points for each rushing and receiving yard gained, (0.04) points for each passing yard, and also (0.5) points for each reception. There are other scoring opportunities for defenses. Let's take a look at players we like in the first round of the NFL playoffs this weekend.
Players to Target:
Josh Allen (QB) - $8500
Allen is coming into this game a completely different QB than he was in their Week 6 match up with Kansas City. I think he has the best match up of the 4 signal callers this weekend.
Leonard Fournette (RB) - $7200
Ronald Jones II's status for Sunday is still up in the air so that could pave the way for Fournette to get a solid workload against a Green Bay defense that is near the bottom of the league in rush defense.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) - $6200
CEH looks to be on track to return this week (sorry about last week's recommendation!) If KC wants to replicate it's gameplan from Week 6 against the Bills, CEH will get plenty of carries.
Video from Patrick Mahomes at #Chiefs practice today. Clyde Edwards-Helaire also at practice today. https://t.co/M2ijYZwUfX— Harold R. Kuntz (@Harold R. Kuntz) 1611253130.0
Cole Beasley (WR) - $5700
I think this is the week we see a big game from Beasley. Indianapolis and Baltimore made it a point to shut him down the first two weeks of the playoffs. I don't think KC's defense has the ability to stop him.
Allen Lazard (WR) - $5700
Lazard finally looks back to normal after his core muscle injury earlier in the year. The Packers will have to push the ball downfield against a stingy Tampa defense which should result into production for the Packers #2 WR.
Davante Adams (WR) - $8900
Adams is basically match up proof. With the player pool the smallest it's been all year, throwing Adams in the lineup is a bit of an insurance to keep your team's scoring floor higher.
Davante Adams’ releases and route running >>>> https://t.co/sv1fnHpZ1V— Field Yates (@Field Yates) 1610836412.0
Robert Tonyan (TE) - $5700
I know we have a lot of Packers pass catchers this week, but Tonyan's scoring floor is really appealing at this price, so we are going to jump on it and hope for a big passing day.
Stefon Diggs (WR) - $8300
Diggs leads all WRs in Targets, Catches and Yards in the post season. Just like he did in the regular season. KC's defense is the worst Buffalo will have faced to this point so Diggs is a solid play.
Buffalo Bills (DEF) - $3700
Call me crazy, but a less than 100% Patrick Mahomes and a Bills defense playing its best football is a recipe for success.

Players to Target:
Baker Mayfield (QB) - $7400
The Browns are going to need to have their best offensive game to date. The Chiefs are going to make it a priority to stop Cleveland's run game, which means more opportunities for Baker and the Browns' WRs.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (RB) - $6100
We've got a lot of investment this week in the Browns-Chiefs game. Edwards-Helaire is at a solid price this week for his projected workload. Even with Le'Veon Bell cutting into his work, he is a good play at this price.
Wondering if Clyde Edwards-Helaire could get more run than we've seen yet vs. the Browns -15, 12, 21 and 15 touche… https://t.co/hAp3DlievP— Ian Hartitz (@Ian Hartitz) 1610648344.0
Nick Chubb (RB) - $8200
Chubb and Hunt had a great against the Steelers last week. The Browns will feed both Chubb and Hunt plenty against the Chiefs in an attempt to keep Patrick Mahomes off the field.
Mike Evans (WR) - $7100
Evans gets another shot to perform this week against a New Orleans defense that can be exploited. Tampa has a great shot to upset New Orleans this week.
Mike Evans' 119 receiving yards is the most ever by a Buccaneer in a playoff game. The previous record was 106 by K… https://t.co/Rr8pI8ClaP— Scott Smith (@Scott Smith) 1610252483.0
Demarcus Robinson (WR) - $5100
With Denzel Ward coming back at CB for the Browns, who will be shadowing Tyreek Hill, and with Sammy Watkins still nursing injuries, Demarcus Robinson has a real shot to produce on Sunday afternoon.
Stefon Diggs (WR) - $8600
Diggs is becoming matchup proof, and a date with a tough Baltimore secondary isn't enough to scare us away of taking a shot again this week.
Mark Andrews (TE) - $6600
Andrews gets a Bills defense who has been atrocious against guarding TEs this year. You can see what Jack Doyle, Trey Burton and Mo Allie-Cox did against the Bills last week in the wildcard game as proof.
Buffalo has to keep an eye on #Ravens TE Mark Andrews a lottttt this weekend The #Bills allowed 993 receiving yard… https://t.co/D3hymv73XZ— Nick (@Nick) 1610720559.0
Cam Akers (RB) - $7000
Akers has been electric for the Rams late in the year. The Packers are extremely susceptible to the run, which should translate to a good day if the score remains close.
Los Angeles Rams (DEF) - $3800
Going out on a bit of a limb here, but I think the LA Rams can get a turnover or two and possibly even snag a TD to make this play worth it.

There are other scoring opportunities for defenses. Let's take a look at players we like in the first round of the NFL playoffs this weekend.
Players to Target:
Josh Allen (QB) - $9000
Allen has been on a role the past 5 games, throwing for over 1500 yards to go along with 15 TDs. The Colts defense is respectable, but the Bills have pulverized respectable defenses this past month.
Antonio Gibson (RB) - $6200
Gibson got through the Eagles game last week without any setbacks due to turf toe, he should be good to go against a Tampa Defense that has been excellent against the run. He's got a low floor, but the potential is there with his involvement in the passing game.
Cam Akers (RB) - $6100
The Rams may be getting Goff back this week, but if it either way, they are going to try to control this game via their stud rookie RB. Keeping the Seahawks off the field by sustaining long drives will be key.
Robert Woods (WR) - $6700
Woods may same like a peculiar start after what we just talked about with Akers, but he can still be a safety valve for whoever is playing QB for the Rams, and with a lessened field because of playoffs, you have to get creative with lineups.
John Brown (WR) - $5700
I think John Brown is primed for a big game against the Colts. Stefon Diggs will still get his share, but the Colts will be down Rock Ya-Sin, as he'll be out with a concussion.
McDermott said getting John Brown re-acclimated to game-like setting was something they wanted to accomplish and th… https://t.co/2wqBgUH8OP— Chris Brown (@Chris Brown) 1609795209.0
Chris Godwin (WR) - $7800
Washington has a great defense, and with Mike Evans most likely being out for the game Saturday night, Godwin will get plenty of work from Brady.
Logan Thomas (TE) - $6400
What a surprise Thomas has been this year, finishing as a TE1 in standard formats. He's a safety outlet for Alex Smith and this WFT offense and I think he's a solid play this week.
Logan Thomas. Goodness. What a season for him. Washington takes the lead with a possession on the other side of halftime coming.— Mike Garafolo (@Mike Garafolo) 1609728138.0
Ronald Jones II (RB) - $6700
Jones and Fournette muddle the TB backfield significantly, but this game should be in cruise control bu the time the 2nd half rolls around.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (DEF) - $4300
Same reasoning as above. I think the Tampa Defense should have a good scoring night against Washington.

Players to Target:
Justin Herbert (QB) - $7600
Herbert gets a Chiefs squad this week that is setting most of their meaningful starters because they already have the #1 seed in the AFC locked up. This gives Herbert a chance to shine one last time before going into the 2021 offseason.
Jonathan Taylor (RB) - $8400
Taylor has been electric the last month, and with a a great matchup to end the year against the Jaguars on the schedule, he should finish the 2020 season on a high note.
Jonathan Taylor has a 37% forced missed tackle rate over the last 4 weeks Highest among all RBs https://t.co/TAC3GKaGxS— PFF Fantasy Football (@PFF Fantasy Football) 1608921006.0
Myles Gaskin (RB) - $6700
Gaskin had a massive game last week after returning from the COVID-19 list. With Buffalo rumored to be resting key starters and the Dolphins in a must win scenario, Gaskin has another chance at a great week.
CeeDee Lamb (WR) - $6100
Lamb has really turned it on the last couple of weeks as Dallas' offense has snapped out of it's mid season slump. He also gets yards for punt returns which is a bonus in DFS.
Justin Jefferson (WR) - $8000
The lineup this week is seemingly loaded with impact rookies from the 2020 season. Jefferson's matchup with a completely dis-interested Lions team is a match made in heaven.
Curtis Samuel (WR) - $6100
With CMC ruled out for the last game of the year, Samuel will again get 3-5 rushing attempts in their game against New Orleans. The Panthers have a chance to spoil NO's chance at the top seed, which gives them plenty of reason to play their starters.
Gonna miss Curtis Samuel when he ultimately leaves the Panthers in free agency. https://t.co/pRXomBaWvq— Johnny Kinsley (MF DOOM FOREVER) (@Johnny Kinsley (MF DOOM FOREVER)) 1609443532.0
Mark Andrews (TE) - $7200
Andrews matches up against a CIN defense that has been in the bottom third of the NFL when defending against TEs. He should have a good week as BAL needs a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Rashard Higgins (WR) - $5600
Higgins is a great value at this price. He has great rapport with Baker Mayfield and continues to produce at a great value.
Miami Dolphins (DEF) - $4300
Buffalo playing backups + Miami Dolphins team desperate for a win = Great spot for a Miami Defense play.
