NFL DFS Preview: Week 4
Oct 01 | 2020
Each Thursday, FindBet will preview the week’s DFS slate, highlighting players that are priced well on FanDuel, as well as some contrarian plays that can push your team to the top of the leader board.
Most NFL FanDuel games have you putting a team together with players from a certain slate of games. It could be just Sunday 1:00 PM games or it could be every game that is slated for the week. Once the last game that has eligible players is over, the final payouts are made according to how many fantasy points each team scored. Each player is worth a certain dollar amount, and you have a cap of $60,000 to build your team with. You have to have 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (RB, WR, or TE) and 1 DEF.
The general scoring rules include (6) points for each rushing and receiving touchdown, (4) points for each passing touchdown, (0.1) points for each rushing and receiving yard gained, (0.04) points for each passing yard, and also (0.5) points for each reception. There are other scoring opportunities for defenses. You can see the entire breakdown on FanDuel. Let’s dive into players we like and players we advise to avoid in Week 4.
Players to Target:
Aaron Rodgers (QB) – $8000
Rodgers gets a shootout potential match up this week with Atlanta on Monday Night Football. He should continue to produce like he has to begin the year.
Josh Allen (QB) – $8600
We’re gonna ride the Allen train until he gives us reason not to. New England put up 36 points on Las Vegas last week, and the Buffalo offense has been cruising to start the year.
Kenyan Drake (RB) – $7000
Last week we predicted an Ekeler breakout against the Panthers. Guess who gets Carolina this week? Drake should finally break out of his production slump and it’s time to take advantage.
Week 1: Josh Jacobs goes off against Carolina Twitter: Jacobs victory laps Week 2: Leonard Fournette goes off again… https://t.co/5xcRPG70a1— JJ Zachariason (@JJ Zachariason) 1601299696.0
James Robinson (RB) – $6600
Robinson gets a very beatable Bengals defense and he continues to dominate Jacksonville’s backfield. His price is still below market value right now so continue to target him.
Calvin Ridley (WR) – $8100
A lot of my teams have shares in the ATL-GB match up on Monday night. Ridley produced last week at the #1 for Matt Ryan against the Bears and will continue to be a WR1 option this week against the Falcons.
DK Metcalf (WR) – $6900
Metcalf has averaged 15+ points per game to start the year. I like that consistency to continue against the Dolphins in Miami on Sunday.
Robert Tonyan (TE) – $5100
A deeper sleeper this week. Tonyan can get you production on the cheap if you want to pay up at other positions.

Mark Andrews (TE) – $7400
Andrews has had a tough couple of weeks to start the year, but gets an ailing Washington defense in Week 4. He should bounce back nicely.
Los Angeles Rams (DEF) – $4800
The Rams get the sputtering Giants, in LA. I am taking advantage of that match up Sunday.
San Francisco 49ers (DEF) – $4800
The 49ers get the ailing Eagles this week and they are continuing to get healthier on defense.
Players to Avoid:
Lamar Jackson (QB) – $9600
This isn’t saying Lamar is going to have a bad week against Washington, its more his price point. I think you can do better with less salary this week.
Drew Brees (QB) – $7700
Brees rebounded a bit last week against the Packers, but still isn’t the same QB that will go off like he has been in the past.
Josh Jacobs (RB) – $8000
Buffalo’s defense is getting healthier this week, and I think they duplicate the Patriot’s game plan against the Raiders. I am fading Jacobs this week.
Mark Ingram II (RB) – $6500
This backfield is just too muddled right now to even think about relying on one of Baltimore’s backs to get some consistent production. With the game possibly getting out of hand quickly, I see Ingram as a risky play this week.
DJ Moore (WR) – $6800
Moore gets an Arizona secondary that has been relatively strong against the pass. Pair that with a Patrick Peterson match up and I think there are better options this week.
Odell Beckham Jr (WR) – $6600
Right now the Browns are relying on their run game to win them football games. Odell isn’t the focal point of this offense anymore.
Darren Waller (TE) – $6700
The Bills shut down Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett last week. Waller is one of the only Raiders pass catchers healthy this week with both Ruggs and Edwards most likely missing the game.
Zach Ertz (TE) – $6500
San Francisco has been tough sledding for TEs. With all the Eagles’ injuries at WR, I think Ertz is going to get doubled quite a bit this week.
Los Angeles Chargers (DEF) – $4300
The Chargers get Tampa Bay, and Tom Brady has showed no signs of slowing down. I’d find a better option.
Cleveland Browns (DEF) – $3900
Dallas hasn’t won like expected, but their offense is destroying defenses. Cleveland’s defense is in for a long day this week.
