NFL DFS Preview: Week 9

Each Friday, FindBet will preview the week’s DFS slate, highlighting players that are priced well on FanDuel, as well as some contrarian plays that can push your team to the top of the leader board.

Most NFL FanDuel games have you putting a team together with players from a certain slate of games. It could be just Sunday 1:00 PM games or it could be every game that is slated for the week. Once the last game that has eligible players is over, the final payouts are made according to how many fantasy points each team scored. Each player is worth a certain dollar amount, and you have a cap of $60,000 to build your team with. You have to have 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (RB, WR, or TE) and 1 DEF.

The general scoring rules include (6) points for each rushing and receiving touchdown, (4) points for each passing touchdown, (0.1) points for each rushing and receiving yard gained, (0.04) points for each passing yard, and also (0.5) points for each reception. There are other scoring opportunities for defenses. You can see the entire breakdown on FanDuel. This week will be a little different than previous weeks, we’ll only be focusing on players we’re targeting.

Players to Target:

Russell Wilson (QB) – $9000

Wilson gets a Bills defense that gave up over 300 yards of offense to a sputtering Patriots team last week. Seattle’s offense could put up 40 points in this one.

David Johnson (RB) – $6800

Johnson gets a beatable Jaguars team that has benched Gardner Minshew for a 6th round rookie QB. Romeo Crennel has been more committed to the run than his predecessor, Bill O’Brien.

Justin Jackson (RB) – $5900

Jackson has an excellent game last week against a stout Denver defense. He has taken over the lead back duties for the Chargers while Austin Ekeler is still on the shelf.

Tyler Lockett (WR) – $7400

The Bills will most likely shadow DK Metcalf with TreDavious White in their match up this week. That leaves a lot of production on the table for Lockett this week matching up against Levi Wallace.

Diontae Johnson (WR) – $6000

The Steelers get one of the worst defenses in the league this year in Dallas. All of the Pittsburgh WRs have great matchups this week and should be in your lineups.

Justin Jefferson (WR) – $6800

Jefferson has see-sawed between dominate and pedestrian performances the past 4 weeks. Intuition says that he will bounce back against the Lions this week,

Travis Kelce (TE) – $8000

Top tier TE against a defense that can’t stop them. Definitely have Kelce in a lot of my lineups this week.

Zack Moss (RB) – $5800

Moss seems to be back to 100% after an 80 yard, 2 TD performance last week against the Patriots. He will have a Seattle defense that will struggle to contain him.

Arizona Cardinals (DEF) – $4300

The Cardinals get Tua and the Dolphins this week. They should have no issue shutting that offense down like the Rams did last week.
