NFL DFS Preview:  Week 15

NFL DFS

Each Friday, FindBet will preview the week’s DFS slate, highlighting players that are priced well on DFS sites, as well as some contrarian plays that can push your team to the top of the leader board.

Most NFL DFS games have you putting a team together with players from a certain slate of games. It could be just Sunday 1:00 PM games or it could be every game that is slated for the week. Once the last game that has eligible players is over, the final payouts are made according to how many fantasy points each team scored. Each player is worth a certain dollar amount, and you have a cap of $60,000 to build your team with. You have to have 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (RB, WR, or TE) and 1 DEF.

The general scoring rules include (6) points for each rushing and receiving touchdown, (4) points for each passing touchdown, (0.1) points for each rushing and receiving yard gained, (0.04) points for each passing yard, and also (0.5) points for each reception. There are other scoring opportunities for defenses. Let’s take a look at players we like this week.

Players to Target:

Jared Goff (QB) – $7800

Goff and the Rams take on the Greg Williams-less Jets this week. Goff is a great value play and has actually been a Top 10 fantasy QB the last 3 weeks.

JK Dobbins (RB) – $5900

It’s the Dobbins and Edwards show now in Baltimore. With Mark Ingram being retired to the bench and the Ravens matching up against the Jaguars, Dobbins is a solid play at that price point.

Jonathan Taylor (RB) – $7400

The Colts have finally, FINALLY, given the keys to their backfield to Taylor and he has flourished as the #1 runner. He has an excellent matchup this week against a Houston Defense who is in the bottom third of the league in stopping the run.

Calvin Ridley (WR) – $8400

Ridley will most likely be without Julio Jones again this week, and with the Buccaneers coming to town, there will be plenty of points flying in this one.

Diontae Johnson (WR) – $6800

Johnson has been in the dog house a bit the last couple games because of his drops, but I think this week he gets back on track against the Bengals on Monday night football. The Steelers are a completely different offense when he is playing well.

Russell Gage (WR) – $5700

Two ATL WRs in one DFS lineup? Absolutely. Gage is a solid play this week because of the matchup with Tampa.

Tyler Higbee (TE) – $5700

Higbee has a real shot to be a top 5 TE this week (although Darren Waller and Hunter Henry put on a show last night in TNF). Higbee should find plenty of room to rack up yards against the Jets.

Chris Godwin (WR) – $7200

We’ve targeted the ATL-TB matchup quite a bit in this lineup, and it makes sense because there will be a lot of points put up. Vegas sees this game as the second highest total points scored on the NFL slate in week 15.

Miami Dolphins (DEF) – $4600

The Dolphins have been sneaky good this year on defense. They intercepted Patrick Mahomes three times last week and have a chance to make a big statement against the Patriots in Week 15.
